New Minor Factions and Rules Updates

Hi All!
I hope everyone has had a good year and are enjoying the holiday period.
This has been a very busy month so I've only been able to create minor factions for one faction. That being: Greeks from Armies of the Ancients.

The New Greek Minor Factions are:
Athens - Light units are now more effective with ranged weapons.
Corinth - Able to make larger warbands with additional free units.
Massalia - Allows for a unique faction, blending Greek and Gallic units.
Sparta - More effective Hoplites with more bonuses from spears.
Syracuse - A more efficient Cavalry force.
However, that's not all for this month. I've been working on a rules update that will add more customisation to your armies.
Heroes:
Combat Heroes are no longer base Defence 4. And Support Heroes are no longer base Defence 3.
Instead, Combat Heroes can now be converted to Light (Defence 2), Medium (Defence 3) and Heavy (Defence 4). For significant point reductions. This allows you to accurately represent your models on the battlefield while also changing the dynamic of your forces depending on how you equip your heroes.
Support Heroes can be converted to Light (Defence 2) or Medium (Defence 3) variants. And again have received points reductions.
Chariots:
Chariots used to be able to immediately kill opponents that they changed into. While a D6 roll chance, it was still very overpowered. Especially when facing heavy opponents like War Elephants. Now they instead have a chance to automatically wound their opponents. But they can now be upgraded with scythed wheels which increases the damage caused.
War Dog Teams:
The handlers for War Dog Teams can now armour themselves, making them more durable for a slight points increase.
Weapons:
There are some major weapons updates that will change how your armies function.
Lances have been reworked and are now available for ALL cavalry troops.
Javelins have received a Points reduction and the Pilum has now been added as a specific weapon that ignores shield bonuses when rolling to wound.
Let me know what you think of these rules changes and how they may affect your warbands.
The Minor factions update can be found on the Minor Factions Section.
The Rules update can be found on the Errata 2025, the hero and weapon changes are now also part of the Quick Start Guide.
I hope you all have a good end of year and I look forward to seeing you in 2026!
Many Thanks
Matt
