Hills and Uneven Terrain
Hi, I am a new player, and am reading the full rules now. Going through the terrain rules, I see that there are no rules regarding hills or uneven terrain. I am just curious as to why there are no rules for such terrain.

Hi,
Looks like being a really good game. Looking forward to getting the full rules. I have a request rather than a question; could you produce a printer friendly (black& white) version of the QSR please. Also when the full rules are published, if there is a PDF version, can there also be printer friendly version.
Regards
John

Hi Kenntak, welcome to the community! Those were unfortunately casualties during playtesting. While opening the rules up to play testers it became a bone of contention with how hills and rough terrain are represented comparing different terrain types / angles of hills / marking out rough terrain effectively etc.
So I effectively decided to make all terrain rough/uneven unless on a road by giving roads that movement bonus and focusing raised terrain on cliffs as that is definitive in what it is and most wargaming hills come with cliffs built into them.
I realize I should have just made a decision on them and stuck with it, but at the time of designing I felt it might be better to allow players house rule them depending on their scenario as there were so many conflicting ideas.
I hope this answers your question.
Many Thanks
Matt
